Production Designer Paula Loos
Paula Loos is a Production Designer and Art Director working internationally across film and commercials. She creates visually driven worlds that feel grounded, tactile, and emotionally precise always balancing creative ambition with production reality. She loves working with people and created worlds from scripts into reality.
Film Paula collaborated closely with concept artist and Director Didier Konings on the movies Witte Wieven (2023) and Circles (2026), shaping distinct visual languages from early concept through execution. She also collaborated with Production Designer Guy Dyas on Passengers, a film awarded by the Art Directors Guild and nominated for the Academy Awards. As Art Director on The Hitman’s Bodyguard, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds, she delivered large-scale, action-driven designs while maintaining budget control.
In 2025, Paula received a Silver Telly Awards for On the Run, produced by Mike Teevee and directed by Traci Hays. Her work on Pleasure, directed by Ninja Thyberg, earned her a Guldbagge Awards nomination for Best Production Design. The film was also recognized at the British Independent Film Awards and the Sundance Film Festival. Her approach focused on creating a raw and authentic environment that supports the narrative without aestheticizing it.
Commercials Alongside her film work, Paula has built a strong portfolio in international commercials, working with brands such as Nike, Adidas, Vodafone, Philips, Toyota, Jersey Mike’s and Nintendo. Her commercial work is defined by speed, clarity and strong visual storytelling, translating concepts into executable design that works on camera and on schedule.
